‘The William’ project saw the transformation of two 20 story buildings with the addition of 3 storeys on each building connected by an aerial bridge. This mixed use building comprises of 530 CBD apartments including 87 serviced apartments, specialty shops, cafes, office and high end retail spaces.

This re-development saw these twin buildings stripped back to bare structure and transformed with new steel and glass façades. Other main building works included the incorporation of the apartment layouts and full services upgrade throughout.

The residential amenities have been carefully considered with library, gymnasium, meeting rooms, functions spaces and full 24 hour reception and concierge services. The external retail spaces will ensure connection to adjoining buildings and amenities and provide good activation to this busy building and part of town.

2 Girls Building | Abbotsford

On the outside the 2 Girls Building is a work of art, on the inside it’s an art gallery. Walls are lined with contemporary local artists artwork and light wells filled with sculptured art installations.

The architecturally designed 2 Girls Building with art gallery inspired finishes to the façade and interior comprises of 30 boutique 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments including 15 select apartments and 15 spectacular rooftop lofts. 

Interesting features include exposed satin finish, concrete ceilings and floors fashioned with the implementation of recycled formwork to create a raw-look finish. Unlike normal apartment projects, over 100 purchaser-led customisations were constructed.

This residential development transforms the former St Joseph’s technical school

The building is visually strong with a warehouse feel provided by high ceilings, polished concrete floors, industrial type fittings and the incorporation of site history imagery displayed amongst the buildings façade.

In addition to this, a further 173+ townhouses (mixture of 2, 3 & 4 bedrooms) are proposed over multiple stages and open parkland area/s.

The original site looks to retain the original chimney tower built around 1928 by the brickwork manufacturer Daniel Robertson.

Incorporation of this residential and retail development with local community will be a rewarding challenge for the development group.

The overall design and material selection aimed to maximize the prime location and view while minimize ongoing maintenance with highly durable products suitable to the harsh coastal environment.

The harsh coastal environment, Aboriginal cultural sensitive area and Heritage Victoria overlay added to the project complexities.
